Veterans and Seniors of Las Vegas that are medically eligible for the medical cannabis program are also a very large group and they are important for the future of the cannabis industry. They are facing a opioid crisis because of their lack of access to medical cannabis and the resources available. 

The Veterans and Seniors Cannabis Patients Organization, known as S.M.I.L.E, is dedicated to advocating for medical cannabis patients who are grappling with chronic pain and seeking alternatives to opioids amid a growing crisis in their communities. Despite the pressing need for support, this issue has largely gone unaddressed. The Veterans and Seniors Coalition for Cannabis Advocacy has highlighted that medical cannabis patients often face discriminatory treatment compared to other cardholders, resulting in unjust denials of access to their necessary medications. To raise awareness and support for these patients, S.M.I.L.E has launched an online brand called “So High 420 Unique Designed Apparel.” This clothing line aims to shed light on the challenges faced by medical cannabis patients and generate funds for their advocacy efforts. The organization is reaching out to dispensaries and smoke shops, seeking their collaboration in displaying these products in-store, thereby creating a platform to support this vital cause.
